Iowa City Area Christian School Association (ICACSA) is the incorporated nonprofit association that operates as Heritage Christian School. The “Association”, as it is informally called, consists primarily of Heritage parents (though non-parents may also join) who have signed the Association’s Statement of Faith and Working Principles and who pay annual dues of $5. The principle function of the Association is to elect the Board of Directors from within the membership of the Association. The Heritage Board of Directors primary responsibilities include hiring personnel, writing and updating school policy, and assuring sound financial health. Moreover, the Heritage Board works to guarantee the spiritual wellbeing of the school as well as adherence the school’s mission.
