Can the students of Heritage Christian School come together and provide “Everything except the TURKEY” for 30 families in our community?
Who: All Heritage Christian School Students!
What: Thanksgiving Canned/Boxed Food Drive
When: Monday, November 7th–Friday, November 18th
Where: Put food in the boxes in the HCS hallway
Why: Read Deuteronomy 15:7-11 and Proverbs 3:9
What Can Each Student/Staff Member Donate? Goal Per Student
Pre-K and 4th Graders……………………………………………………..1 box of instant potatoes
Kindergarteners and 5th Graders……………………………..1 box of dried stuffing mix
1st and 6th Graders…………………………………….………………….………….2 cans of vegetables
2nd and 7th Graders……………………………………………………………………………..2 cans of fruit
3rd and 8th Graders…………………………………………..………………..1 can of sweet potatoes
Staff Members………………………………………………..……………………2 boxed dessert items
What is Considered a “Meal”?
- 1 box of dried stuffing mix
- 1 box of instant potatoes w/gravy mix
- 1 can of sweet potatoes
- 2 cans of fruit
- 2 cans of vegetables
- 1 boxed dessert item
(box of brownies, cookies, or cake)

Please Note: In order for us to reach our goal of providing a well-balanced Thanksgiving meal for 30 families in our community, ALL students are encouraged to participate in donating to this food drive. Please bring in your assigned food item anytime on or before Friday, November 18th. The 8th grade will organize the food into meals to be delivered to the Coralville Ecumenical Food Pantry to be distributed out into the community. Thanks!
