Track Meet

On Tuesday, May 4, our track athletes participated in a track meet in Pella with other Christian schools.  The day started out a bit chilly and windy, but it warmed up and was a fun day for all! The athletes had positive attitudes and ran fast, jumped far, threw far, and cheered loudly for their teammates. Heritage came away with 12 first place finishes, 15 second place finishes, 11 third place finishes, 14 fourth place finishes, and 8 fifth place finishes. Congratulations to our athletes who broke school records in the 100 meter dash (12.34 sec.) and in the 4×200 meter relay (1:56). That record was actually broken by eight seconds! Thank you also to our 8^th grade athletes who stepped up and helped lead the team this year. Way to go Eagles! It was a fantastic day for a track meet with some great competition!
