Fall Athletic Seasons

The Heritage Eagle’s soccer team wrapped up their season on Tuesday evening, September 28, with a game against the Isaac Newton Patriots. The Eagles trailed 0-1 at halftime and ended up losing 0-3. Despite the zero on the scoreboard at the end of the game, the Eagles had their chances on offense and had several scoring opportunities but ultimately were not able to put the ball in the net. Heritage got strong efforts from their 8th grade players competing in their last soccer game for the Eagles, Shay Sundblad, Andres Sanchez, and Rylen Schweitzer. With the loss in their final game, the Eagles ended the regular season with a 2-2 record.

On Thursday, October 21st, both Eagle volleyball teams played Trinity Lutheran in our final match of the season. Both the hard work of the girls and the home crowd cheering propelled both teams to a win. In the 5/6 game the girls had most of their serves go in, made smart passes, and hustled after the ball, and had fun. The results were set wins of 25-9 and 25-19. In the 7/8 game the girls came out ready to play. With some strong serving, the girls got a large lead. The Trojans inched their way back in, but we held them off to win 25-17. More of the same continued in set two, along with a couple long rally points to make it exciting. The girls won set two as well with a score of 25-17. Thank you to our 8th grade athletes, Elise Hunter and Valerie Metternich, who were great leaders on and off the court. What a way to end the season Eagles!
