2nd Grade FLEx Project

Last year our 2nd grade students did some REAL work to meet some REAL needs of a REAL person (the goal of our FLEX projects is to do that).  They wanted to help out Mr. Russ, our janitor since he had been working longer overnight to clean the school.  The students decided to take initiative to train other classes to pick up their classrooms every night.  They made a poster with those ideas and even shared them with each class.  They also wrote notes of encouragement for Mr. Russ.   He was blessed by our work and our encouragement.  Even this year, classes have those signs posted in their rooms!

Teaching for Transformation (TfT) is the framework where our school learned to do these kinds of things, and our project was shared with the organization.  They LOVED the work that our kids have done!   They posted the work in their newsletter and have created a FLEX card to continue to share this GOOD WORK with other schools.  We are excited to see the ways that these kids were able to TASTE, SEE, and SHARE GOD’S GOODNESS with others.  They are doing important KINGDOM WORK and we have loved working alongside them in that work.
