International Day at Heritage

On Friday, Sept. 28, Heritage students in 1st-8th grade got a taste (figuratively speaking) of life abroad, all within the confines of the school building.  Despite access to information from the international community via tv and the internet, one can become quite insulated from the life experienced by most of the world’s population. It’s imperative that our children realize the physical and sprititual need that exists around the globe.  It’s also imperatvie that, as followers of Christ, they are taught to act on that knowledge.

On this half-day of school, students rotated through classes hearing about life in South Korea, Mexico, Romania and Ghana and learned to play traditional Mongolian games straight from those who were born and lived there. A special thanks to our five guests for spending a few hours here with us!
