The Eagles Soccer teams both finished their seasons with a win over Isaac Newton Christian Academy on Tuesday, October 7. The JV won the game with a score of 2-1, with the goals being scored by Sam in the first half and Christian in the second half. The JV team finished their season with a record of 3-0-3. What an excellent record for the first JV soccer team at Heritage!
After the JV game, the Varsity showed a lot of determination in a very close game against Isaac Newton Christian School. With an assist from Sophia Rocca, Rahobot Habte was able to score the first goal putting the Eagles in the lead in the first half. With the help of a great defense and a couple of saves by goal keeper Phillip Young, the Eagles were able maintain the lead for the win, with the final score of 1-0. The varsity team’s season record is 6-0-0 making them the first undefeated soccer team in Heritage history! Way to go Eagles!
The Eagles Soccer teams were coached by Dave Austin and Scott Montgomery. We are especially thankful for all our 8th grade athletes: Eric Doorn, Rahabot Habte, Isaac Miller, Tyler Montgomery, Sophia Rocca, Cole Sherman, Luke Slaymaker, and Phillip Young. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication! We would also like to thank all of the parents and fans who came to the games and helped make this season memorable!
