Two wins for the Eagles soccer teams at Trinity Lutheran

JV: Eagles soar past Trinity 11-1

HCS 5/6th grade team started their season with a convincing 11-1 win over the Trojans of Trinity Lutheran. The Eagles controlled key aspects of the game, including defense, shots on goal and time of possession.

The scoring was fast and furious with six different goal strikers. Leading the way for Heritage was Noah Swenson with numerous goals. Sam Young and Austin Kochan each had multiple scores as well. To round out the scoring Kaleb Turnbough, Aidan White and Spencer Holman each added their own goals to the mix. The Eagles had strong defensive play from Tate Kochan, Jordan Robinson and Cael Austin. Holding the Trojans to only one score with strong goalie play were Mason Slaymaker, Caleb Hansen and Sam Young. Go Eagles!

Varsity: Eagles outplay Trinity 3-1

Heritage Christian School’s Varsity Soccer Team started the season on a high note leaving no doubt in a convincing 3-1 win at Trinity Lutheran. Heritage dominated in time of possession and attempts on goal, outshooting the Trojans 14-1.

Eli Young started the scoring for Heritage with a strike in the 15th minute to put the Eagles up 1-0. Tyler Montgomery followed with a lovely floater over the Trinity goalie in the 25th minute and the Eagles led 2-0 at the half. Trinity got on the board early in the second half cutting the lead to 2-1 but Eli Young found the back of the net off a beautiful assist from Christian Withrow to make it 3-1 Heritage.

Cole Sherman, Caden Turnbough, and Ebube Akabogu had great games defensively and Phillip Young had a strong game in goal. Go Eagles! #leavenodoubt
